7. I SEE YOU

Written by Amy De Bhrún.

Performed by Amy De Bhrún & Roxanna NicLiam

TWO WOMEN. ONE STORY. A CENTURY APART.

Lady Mary Heath: A Limerick-born trailblazer of aviation, lost and forgotten, trapped within the walls of time.

Mary: A middle-class Dublin woman, unseen and unheard, trapped in an abusive relationship that has just taken a turn for the worse.

This brand-new play by Amy De Bhrún weaves together poetry and an original soundscape by Jack Cawley to shed light on the hidden stories of Lady Mary Heath and her contemporary counterpart Mary – two women, one story, a century apart. A call to arms, I SEE YOU explores the dangerous cyclical nature of female oppression and the devastating consequences of allowing countless women’s voices to go unheard.
